Finland\u2019s pioneering electronica band RinneRadio has finally released a new album!<\/p>
It is already 11 years since the 2012 RinneRadio album StaRRk, as the founder and band leader<\/p>
Tapani Rinne has been busy making critically acclaimed solo albums and duo offerings with Wimme<\/p>
Saari, Teho Majam\u00e4ki, Aleksi Myllykoski and Juha M\u00e4ki-Patola.<\/p>
For the new album Balladium, Tapani Rinne has found totally new collaborators in addition to long<\/p>
time partners like Tuomas Norvio, Juuso Hannukainen and Aleksi Myllykoski.<\/p>
Levinsky (Petteri Leivisk\u00e4) is known for his dark cinematic keyboards music, inspired by classic<\/p>
horror and sci-fi films as well as artists like Vangelis, Jean Michelle Jarre ja Kate Bush. Recue (Riku<\/p>
Annala) has been producing his own electronic music and remixes in addition to working with artists<\/p>
like Jesse Markin, Robot Koch and Jamie Lidell.<\/p>
Interesting guest musicians include also a great young generation S\u00e1mi joik singer Hilda L\u00e4nsman<\/p>
(Solju, VILD\u00c1 etc.) and guitarist Seppo Tyni, who rose to fame in the end of 70\u00b4s in Pekka Pohjola<\/p>
Group and also was a member of early RinneRadio.<\/p>
Tapani Rinne and RinneRadio have always been innovative and operating in the not-so easily labeled<\/p>
areas between electronic and organic, ambient and dance grooves. On Balladium the focus on<\/p>
ambient.<\/p>
\u2013 Balladium turned out as a surprisingly experimental and progressive ambient album. Every tune has<\/p>
a title that I spent a lot of time thinking of, so there is definitely an underlining theme and concept,<\/p>
